The case that comes with the unit does not have a folding flap. The unit tends to slip out and fall to the floor. We bought this case specifically to avoid this problem,.and it works. We are now drop free.
I ordered this case for my Garmin Nuvi 265T. There is extra room on either side, but not enough to return the case. This model has a 3.5" screen. The navigator is not snug in the case; it is easy to insert and remove. The materials are solid, and the flap stays closed with the magnet. I was worried that it may accidentally open since there isn't a snap, but I haven't had that problem.
Excellent build quality. No worries though, still very highly recommended. Style factor is quite good as well. Like some reviews posted earlier, though, my nuvi 265T tends to move around a bit since the fit isn't exactly that snug. Amazing value for your money. :)
The inside material is soft and there's no exposed fasteners or seams to scratch the GPS.The only thing I wish this had (and caused me to dock a star) is a belt clip of some sort (removable would be even better). This case is excellent; it protects my GPS device very well. It is perfect for my Garmin 265 in depth, but it is a little wider than my unit on the sides -- not enough to make it less secure though.The magnetic flap holds well but can be opened one-handed very easily. The funcionality of this case is somewhat limited by the lack of that feature. It requires you to slide the case into a pocket or purse, and it's just a little too big to do that comfortably.
Case is very nice. Just as advertised, though a little over-sized for my small GPS unit.
